Jung Joon Young and Yoo In Suk refused to attend the trial of Seungri despite being summoned by the court as witnesses.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Yoo In Suk, Seungri's business partner for Yuri Holdings informed the court that he could not attend the trial because of his upcoming sentencing in December regarding the Burning Sun scandal. He also cited his deteriorating health as a reason for his inability to attend.

It can be recalled that during his trial, Yoo In Suk admitted to charges of soliciting prostitution for foreign investors and spending company funds to bribe police officials. He promised to detail all of his knowledge about the case through a written report to the court, Koreaboo reported in a separate article.

Meanwhile, Jung Joon Young, along with several others, recently received a finalized sentence from the Supreme Court for aggravated rape charges, Soompi reported.

The former celebrity was initially given a six-year prison term for drugging and raping women, as well as distributing illegally filmed footage of his sexual encounters.

According to the Justice Department, Joon Jung Young refused to attend Seungri's trial because he does not know anything about Seungri's embezzlement case.

However, the court sent him another invitation because Joon Jung Young was summoned for Seungri's prostitution solicitation charges.

It can be recalled that Seungri attended the second trial for the eight charges he is facing before the general military at the Ground Operations Command last month.

The former BIGBANG member is facing charges that include solicitation of prostitution services, prostitution mediation, embezzlement, violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, and violation of the Act on Special Cases, particularly sexual crimes, Soompi reported.

During his first hearing, Seungri only admitted to the charge of violating the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act.

He said that while he occasionally gambled, it would not be categorized as habitual. He also denied sending illegally filmed footage of women that were sent to him through chat groups.

Seungri also maintained that all the expenses spent under his company Yuri Holdings were legitimate. He further denied facilitating prostitution for foreign investors.

Twenty-two witnesses were summoned by the court, including Yoo In Suk and Jung Joon Young. However, due to the large scope of the hearings, it is expected to last until December 17.
