BTS received the ultimate compliment when compared to The Beatles by Sir Paul McCartney himself.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Paul McCartney, a former member of the iconic band The Beatles appeared as a guest on the podcast Smartless and confessed to enjoying BTS' music.

The iconic singer-songwriter even compared BTS to The Beatles and said that he could relate well to their current journey. He said that BTS might be going through the same things they went through at the height of their popularity.

He even made a shoutout to the Kpop group and said he loved watching them perform. McCartney further said that even though he cannot sing their songs, he likes them.

It can be recalled that the former Beatles member also mentioned BTS last year during a guest appearance for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. In the episode, he acknowledged BTS as the most popular band in the world.

In their guest appearance on the same show, BTS paid homage to The Beatles when they dressed up in dark suits with a drum set in the background as a nod to The Beatles' debut on American television.

BTS is indeed reaching milestone after milestone. Their success is being acknowledged by music legends and contemporary superstars.

In a recent interview, pop star Justin Bieber credited BTS for their global success and said that he understood why their song "Dynamite" was such a hit, even among American fans.

The international superstar admitted that he was a big fan of "Dynamite" and explained why it was so popular.

According to Bieber, "Dynamite" was a great summer song but what made it receive more airplay in the US was the language in which it was performed.

"Dynamite" was BTS's first full English track and the first Kpop song to reach the elusive No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Bieber also listed down the accomplishments made by BTS and said that if there was anyone who knew how to make history, it was the Big Hit Entertainment powerhouse group.

In related news, BTS added another milestone to their growing list of achievements when they earned their first Grammy nomination. The group was announced as one of the nominees for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their song "Dynamite," ET Online reported.
