The Seven Deadly Sins Final Season dropped a new commercial video, giving a glimpse of its magnificent world that fans are about to see. Officially titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment, the upcoming season will be a sequel to Wrath of the Gods.
The 30-second clip also reveals The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment's new opening theme, titled "Hikari Are," or "Let There Be Light" in English by Akihito Okano. The anime's official Twitter page provided a link to the song's official music video and revealed the song artists.
The ending song, on the other hand, is a collaboration of Hiroyuki Sawano and ReoNa. The tune is "under the unit called 'SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]: ReoNa,'" Epic Dope noted.
Of course, the trailer shows everyone a quick look at the main characters. Here, Elizabeth is seen covered in blood, while Meliodas is holding her and screaming in agony. The tweet then asked fans to wait for the series' return in 2021.
According to Monsters & Critics, by calling the final season The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment, it just means that it will continue with its "title naming theme." The Wrath of the Gods is a straight reference to the manga series' major story arc that features the series' main climax.
Although the upcoming season may bear the New Holy War title due to the nature of the previous season's finale, Dragon's Judgment may have a deeper meaning. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Netflix and Studio Deen dropped the first look at the anime's season finale.
Comicbook reported the preview gave more questions than answers. However, it confirmed The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment would be the final installment of the series.
By the looks of it, it will end the "tragic cycle of reincarnation" that Melodias has suffered. As he has been running after Elizabeth for thousands of years now, will they finally be together?
The clip also showed a lot of familiar faces and Meliodas' crew that greeted fans. From Ban to Merlin to Escano, everyone made a brief appearance. In addition, fans also saw a bunch of "confusing iconographies" that would be a significant part of the final season.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment was initially set to be out in October 2020, but it moved to a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a long wait, it would finally drop on January 6, 2021, on TV Tokyo in Japan, and stream on Netflix.
