For Life season 2 episode 3 is set to arrive next week on ABC, with the title "The Necessity Defense." The series will continue to follow Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock), who is now a freeman. He is finally out of prison, but that doesn't mean there won't be any challenges coming for him in the outside world.

Aaron is determined to help those in need -- especially the people going through the same things he experienced. However, he'll be dealing with a "difficult" client entering For Life season 2 episode 3. This person needs his help, but Aaron recognized that his client broke the law.

In the synopsis of For Life season 2 episode 3, Spencer Richardson (John Douglas Thompson) urged Aaron to defend a woman. She is charged with holding one of the workers at a hospital at gunpoint to secure a life-saving treatment for her son.

While she did it for a very specific reason, the situation is very complicated later on. Aaron knows that his client did something wrong, but he has to find a way to defend her. The situation would challenge him, and he has to weigh what's right and wrong.

Since Aaron has just got out of prison, everything feels brand new to him. His latest client is, by far, the most difficult one. He knows how hard it is in that situation, yet he's also committed to standing for what is right and following the law.

Beyond the case, For Life season 2 episode 3 also sees Aaron and his wife Marie (Joy Bryant) navigating their intimate relationship. The two separated because of everything that happened to them in the past, with the latter entered a new relationship as she thought she needs to move forward.

Meanwhile, a young social justice warrior decided to join Aaron and Henry Rosswell's (Timothy Busfield) firm. The former is figuring out how to run his firm while trying to bring more people in. But, he may still encounter highs and lows, especially since some people out there still want to bring him back in jail.

In episode 2, Aaron reunites with his family and was able to hold his grandson for the first time. Marie was happy but still has conflicting emotions. And even though Aaron is living his life outside of prison, he's still on probation. That means one wrong move could put him back behind bars.

For Life season 2 episode 3 airs on Wednesday, Dec. 2, on ABC.
