Manga fans are about to get the best treat of their lives at the beginning of 2021. Shueisha magazine will drop a new The Promised Neverland one-shot that will be all about Sister Krone.
According to Spoiler Guy, the magazine will start shipping the new The Promised Neverland one-shot on Monday, December 7. It will feature 36 pages, and the centerfold will be a special colored page.
Sister Krone is one of the secondary antagonists the series' first major arc has introduced. At the time, only little was known about this character that made it all the mysterious.
Like other adult-aged characters in the manga, Sister Krone had a "heartbreaking" story. She might have fought hard to be a full-blown adult without being eaten by any monsters when she was a child.
Now that the series has ended, Comicbook noted the creators might have wanted to explore Sister Krone's tale through The Promised Neverland one-shot.
Viz Media may drop this new bonus chapter the way it had released the previous additional entries. The series writer Kaiu Shirai and illustrator Posuka Pemizu once again return to work on Sister Krone's past story, just like what they did when they worked on a unique prequel entry about Ray's old tale before the main series began.
If the new The Promised Neverland one-shot will be like the prequel, it will surely be a big hit, knowing how little fans know about Sister Krone. Readers may be interested to learn more about this character after her mysterious introduction.
On the other hand, the creators may have also felt the interest to explore her story, which may ignite them to create more bonus chapters to explore different characters' past. As the manga has already come to an end, fans celebrate these new additions to the story.
The Promised Neverland manga has officially ended in September. Although fans still want to see its return, it may only be in the form of anime or the additional one-shots.
Thankfully, CB reported it would be dropping a new chapter now and then that would continue its story. Fans will also soon see The Promised Neverland Season 2 after it finally gets a January premiere date.
It will be out on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in Japan, although it remains to be seen when it will hit the small screens around the world. It also comes with a short trailer, but most of the scenes featured come from Season 1.
