The Promised Neverland Season 2 drops a new trailer and gives a glimpse of the children of Gracefield. As the kids are now on the run, what are they going to discover?
The Promised Neverland Season 2 will continue to puzzle everyone's minds with its spine-chilling theme. Norman, Emma, Ray, and other kids are now on the loose after successfully escaping the Gracefield house in the previous season.
Now, what awaits these children knowing they are in the outside world? According to Epic Dope, they will be in a more dangerous situation after leaving their sheltered environment.
The forests are infested with demons, and their next challenge will be surviving these creatures. In the preview, the kids are seen escaping in the woods and about to realize that monsters are not their only enemies.
Thankfully, Minerva's owl insignia is seen on the clip. When solved, the codes in the symbol will give the kids coordinates to survive.
In addition, a new visual is also dropped for The Promised Neverland Season 2. Mujika and Emma are seen at the same table, and there will be two new characters that will join the cast.
The new season will introduce Sonju and Mujika, the two demons who do their best not to eat humans. The roles will be played by Shinichiro Kamio and Atsumi Tanizaki, respectively.
Meanwhile, talking about the series' future, its creators, Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu teased the continuation of the franchise despite its manga's ending. The series will continue with a new anime season, live-action movies, and a new Amazon-produced series.
In an interview with Comicbook, Shirai said it is still undecided when and where the story would go. However, no matter what it would be, he wanted to return to the "story points" where the readers could illuminate it as "hints and foreshadows."
As Shirai is well aware that some of these storylines are not revealed yet, he wanted fans to be "rest assured" it would come. Demizu, on the other hand, teased there would be The Promised Neverland Season 2, a live-action film, and a western drama project coming fans' way. So, he asked fans to wait for this stuff.
The Promised Neverland Season 2 is set to be out on Thursday, January 7, in Japan. It was supposed to be out in October, but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series is yet to be confirmed for an English license release as of this writing, but it will likely be available on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and HIDIVE. Alternatively, its episode number is also yet to be revealed, but it may have 12 episodes just like the first season.
