After nine years, fans will once again see Ichigo Kurosaki back on the small screen in Bleach Season 17. The anime announced the series' continuation that would adapt the manga's final arc for the show's last blow.

Bleach Season 17 will be adapting the Thousand Year Blood War arc, which also serves as the anime's ending. This storyline will feature the manga's last 19 volumes, so fans can expect a lot of intense turn of events happening here.

According to Epic Dope, the new season will explore Ichigo's past and examine the story behind the Soul City. There will be a lot of insane revelations, as it will also tie all the loose ends the previous seasons have left hanging.

The Thousand-Year Blood War will begin after the 12th division learned that Hollows are starting to disappear in large numbers. A couple of days after this incident happened, a strange man will suddenly appear on Ichigo's bed.

He will introduce himself as Asguiaro Ebern, and Ichigo will then ask him if he is Arrancar. Promptly, Ebern will get mad and summon a Spirit Weapon. A fight then begins between the two, and Ichigo will wonder why Ebern is using a Quincy Cross and even has a medallion.

On the other hand, Yamamoto is about to receive a report from another division in the 1st Division barracks in Soul City. Several masked men will confront the captain and later declare war. One of these guys then threatens that Wandenreich will destroy the district in just five days.

Meanwhile, aside from Bleach Season 17, another Bleach adaptation is about to return. Weekly Shonen Jump officially announced the coming of Burn the Witch Season 2.

The manga creator, Tite Kubo, intends to continue the manga short story with a sequel, Monsters & Critics noted. The title is listed as "coming soon," which may mean the anime is about to hit the small screen in no time.

However, in an interview with Natalie, Kubo revealed the advertised "coming soon" release date did not mean what it supposedly meant. He even said that it was written "without his permission," asking fans to be more patient for the Burn the Witch Season 2's release.

Burn the Witch Season 1 concluded in the #41 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. When the second season finally drops, Viz Media will be digitally publishing its official English translation.

On the other hand, Bleach Season 17 is expected to be out in 2020 as part of the Bleach 20th anniversary project.
