Beyoncé continues to increase her fame and popularity in recent years. One project after the other, the songstress never fails to succeed in her venture.

With the help of her fans and supporters, the "Single Ladies" singer remains on top of the music charts through the years. But, little did most people know that she is, also, a huge fan of another celebrity.

Cheat Sheet reported that there is one artist who became Beyoncé's inspiration in achieving her goals. As revealed, Mariah Carey was the reason she became a singer.

The "Love On Top" singer once shared her love for the "We Belong Together" songstress in an interview. The same publication said that Beyoncé told this to her Destiny's Child groupmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

She said that she wanted to become a singer because of Carey. She did not reveal the details, though, as to why the prominent artist became her greatest inspiration. Nevertheless, reports said that the "Angels Cry" singer has continued to "influence" the Sasha Fierce artist, especially when it comes to her "evolution" and "drive."

Beyoncé remains to be a fan and supporter of Mariah Carey. Despite this, the two celebrities appear to share a good and tight friendship.

Nearly four years ago, Cheat Sheet said that the two women "broke the internet" when the "Touch My Body" singer posted a photo of them together. She took her adoration for the Dangerously In Love artist to Instagram, even telling her that she loves her.

The photo in question features the two of them during Carey's annual Christmas concert in New York. The Black Is King star attended the event, alongside her eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Earlier in November, Mariah Carey posted another clip on social media, paying tribute to Beyoncé, as well as her memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey. Billboard reported that The Lion King star sent her latest Adidas x Ivy Park collection to the "Through The Rain" singer.

The clip featured some pieces of the collection. At the end of the material, Carey's daughter thanked the 39-year-old singer "for the ensemble."

Forbes released a report, as well, earlier this year informing the public that Mariah Carey and Beyoncé are the only two artists who have topped the charts in each of the past decades. Carey was the only artist to do so until Knowles reached the same heights back in May.
