Yatogame-chan Season 3 has a new promotional video that gives a glimpse of what is about to come. Fans will again see Kaito Jin and the rest of the gang, going on a new adventure that everyone will surely love.
The anime series' official website unveiled the official look to Yatogame-chan Season 3. It gives viewers a preview of the new season's theme song, "Zassо̄ Damashii Namennayo!" by Taiki Yamazaki.
According to Anime News Network, the new season will only be a single cour, although the number of episodes it has is yet to be revealed.
The series is based on a four-panel manga written and illustrated by Masaki Ando. It tells the story of Jin, who moves to Nagoya from Tokyo to meet a high school girl with cat ears and a distinctive Nagoya accent, named Yatogame.
The show has a refreshing take on a manga story, way different compared to the series of today. It has a straightforward storyline that is easier to follow, so it is no surprise that it quickly receives new sequels.
It has a comedy theme that revolves around the characters' daily life. In the clip, fans finally see the protagonists, teasing the continuation of its straightforward plotline, following Yatogame's everyday life.
Epic Dope noted Yatogame-chan Season 3 will have the same staff and cast as the previous two seasons. Haruka Tomatsu will return as Yatogame, Yuki Wakai as Mai Tadakusa, Mitsuhiro Ichiki as Jin, Maria Naganawa as Serura Dobe, and Junji Majima as Masahide Tsuji.
Hisayoshi Hirasawa will once again direct the third season with the help of Satsuki Hayasaka as the character designer. Its manga version has 450,000 in circulation, and Tokai holds 70% of its sales.
The manga was first released in 2016. So far, it has a total of seven volumes, and the story is still ongoing.
Its success receives an anime adaptation that has featured 24 episodes so far, and it is a sure hit among fans. With its simple storyline, viewers can't help but ask for more. If its positive feedbacks continue, it may even go beyond a third season, per Omnitos.
Yatogame-chan Season 3 is set to be out on Sunday, January 10, on TV Aichi. It will also air on BS11 and AT-X and available on Hikari TV, d Anime Store, and Video Market. Its second season will again start rebroadcasting on Sunday, December 13.
