Prince Harry is lucky to have one exceptionally loyal close friend in Venom actor and British superstar Tom Hardy.
According to reports, the two are so close that Hardy describes Harry as a "f**king legend." Their friendship is also defined as "deeply private" with Hardy honoring the royal's request for upholding a code of silence about their lives to the press.
The Duke of Sussex met the actor for the first time in 2010 after Hardy became involved with Prince Charles' foundation, The Prince's Trust. He was signed as one of the charity's ambassadors.
Hardy and his wife, Charlotte Riley, were also guests at Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018. Reports cited that the actor was filming a movie in New Orleans but had to get on a flight to London to arrive on the day his royal friend exchanged g vows with a former actress.
Sources said that Hardy doesn't talk much about his closeness with the Duke of Sussex, but they have been seen out together several times before, especially when Harry was a bachelor. The royal made sure to attend the premiere of the war movie, Dunkirk, in 2017 to show his support for Hardy.
Harry and his celebrity friend also filmed a cameo for Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2015 with Prince William. Unfortunately, their scenes did not make it through the final edits.
But aside from Hardy, Harry and Meghan keep a star-studded circle of friends, which royal observers said could be one reason why they prefer to set their roots in Los Angeles. As a former actress, Meghan has easily made connections with some of the most famous Hollywood personalities, which could help them with their fundraising efforts and other advocacies.
The royal pair isn't just friends with Oprah Winfrey, who was reportedly one of the people they turned to when they left their royal roles. Winfrey is also their neighbor in Montecito and a co-collaborator for Prince Harry's mental health documentary on Apple TV+
Harry and Meghan are tight with power couples like George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, and former President and First Lady Barack and Michell Obama. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, David said that Harry is an amazing person who deserves to be happy with what he plans to do with his life with Meghan.
