The Harry Potter movies might be over, but it looks like we haven't seen the last of Daniel Radcliffe's beloved character just yet. A new report may have confirmed that the Guns Akimbo star will return as the Boy Who Lived in a completely new Harry Potter film.

Daniel Radcliffe played the titular young wizard in the Harry Potter films based on J.K. Rowling's books from 2001 to 2011. Although the movie adaptations are now done, fans have continued to hope that the Swiss Army Man actor would eventually return to play Harry yet again. Interestingly, Warner Bros. could be holding on to the same idea as a new leak suggests.

Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman recently shared some interesting new details about upcoming projects on his Patreon. One of the scoops he revealed was about a possible new Harry Potter project. Interestingly, Richtman confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe has been in discussions with Warner Bros. as well as some of the other original cast members of the Harry Potter films,

So what were the discussions with the studio about? According to Daniel Richtman, Warner Bros. met with Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Harry Potter to talk about a possible reunion for an upcoming project. Although details about the discussions were not revealed, it is believed that the studio is hoping to produce a movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

It would make sense that Warner Bros. wants Daniel Radcliffe and the original Harry Potter cast to return for an adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. After all, enough time has passed, and the cast is now at a certain age where they can play versions of their characters that are slightly older than themselves.

Although this is an exciting idea for Harry Potter fans, it might still be a long wait for the new film. Daniel Richtman also stated that the project had been put on hold due to COVID-19. However, there is a possibility that there will be updates on this story soon.

But why is Warner Bros. currently considering an adaptation of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child? Some believe that it has a lot to do with all the controversies that the Fantastic Beasts movies have been facing. It is believed that the studio is planning to drop plans for the spin-off film franchise in order to return to the less problematic Harry Potter films.

Fantastic Beasts 3 is currently in production. Warner Bros. has not yet confirmed whether the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child adaptation is in development.
