There are lots of easter eggs hidden in the entire Night City map of "Cyberpunk 2077." CD Projekt Red spent a good time crafting this world, sprinkling familiar references in various places in the game. Interestingly, there is a mission in "Cyberpunk 2077" that rewards players with a "Mortal Kombat" easter egg.

The 'Mortal Kombat' Easter Egg in "Cyberpunk 2077"

The "Mortal Kombat" easter egg is an in-game reward in "Cyberpunk 2077" after players successfully completed a mission in the latter part of the game. The reward is a statue of the most iconic character in the successful "Mortal Kombat" franchise-Scorpion. The merchandise features two katanas, a hood, a gauntlet, a mask, and the familiar yellow features pointing to the popular character.

Mitch describes the reward as a 'lucky charm' that belongs to his friend. When scanned, the figurine is called Yellow Jacket Warrior and bears striking similarities with the NetherRealm's mascot. The merchandise does not offer anything that buffs V, but the reward could be a good centerpiece to impress V's guests in his apartment.

How To Unlock The "Mortal Kombat" Easter Egg in "Cyberpunk 2077"

Players who want to uncover what Scorpion looks like in "Cyberpunk 2077" could take the mission after they encounter Panam. The character would introduce players to some of her associates, including Mitch. Players should complete the side job titled Fly Me Away, which happens in the Outskirts.

This particular quest is short and sweet but easy to miss. It is before players play the Queen of the Highway quest with Panam. Players should go to the Southwest of the Nomad Camp in the Badlands to activate the side quest. This is also where players will complete the Riders of the Storm job.

After the mission is completed, players should walk up to Mitch and talk to him. Mitch would ask V to follow him to a particular location. He will describe it as a place his friend named Scorpion used to frequent. The two will arrive at a deep canyon where players would find an ominous ramp jutting off the side of the cliff.

"Cyberpunk 2077" is now available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PlayStation 4 and PS5. CD Projekt Red earlier assured fans that it would roll out more patches and fixes to resolve glitches and other issues in the game.
