The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 is almost here, and fans are now looking forward to seeing its premiere episode. Officially titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgment, viewers will again see Meliodas in another epic adventure.

The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 is slated for release on Wednesday, January 6, but Monsters & Critics noted it would be a special program that would give fans a look back at the anime's past episodes. So, instead of seeing the premiere episode, fans have to wait a week more before witnessing the new season's official beginning.

The new season will begin with a new arc, the Holy War arc, a major part of the manga series' story. It will take the anime into the series' climax that fans have been waiting to see.

However, instead of adapting the New Holy War title based on how the previous season ended, the Dragon's Judgment may have a deeper meaning that everyone needs to see. According to TV Season Spoilers, the new season will follow the last 79 chapters of the manga series.

The demons have returned and established their clan so that they could begin a new war. This only means that The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 will feature many epic battles with several unexpected twists and turns.

Meliodas and Elizabeth's relationship will be at stake, so the initial will do everything to protect his woman. So, by the looks of it, viewers will get the chance to see the protagonist in his full demon glory to safeguard his lady love.

To recall, Meliodas unleashed his true demonic form in the Season 4 finale, as the Ten Commandments leader, per Devdiscourse. So, this twist might have a major impact on the new season's storyline.

In addition, the new The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5's official synopsis, released by Netflix, revealed Meliodas, Elizabeth, Van, King, Escanor, Gowther, Hawk, and Dianne and Merlin would compete against the flames. They also have to face a new stronger enemy and a "visible representing the Seven Deadly Sins members facing their destiny."

Meanwhile, Season 5's official trailer is now out, giving a glimpse of a new storyline that hints at another new adventure. It also drops the new season's official opening theme, titled "Let There Be Light" by Akihito Okano, and the closing song "Time" by Hiroyuki Sawano and ReoNa.

The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 is set initially to be out in October 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed its return, just like other TV and movie productions. It was announced to drop on Wednesday, January 13, and would also come on Netflix in April.
