Netizens continue to slam Ivanka Trump and the rest of the First Family on Twitter. This comes after the First Daughter released a post on the platform wherein she called the rioters in the U.S. Capitol "American patriots."

In a now-deleted tweet, Ivanka deemed the "security breach," as well as the "disrespect" toward the law enforcement as "unacceptable." She, also, noted that "violence must stop immediately," adding that the demonstrators should be peaceful.

CNN reporter Kate Bennett immediately responded to the shocking post, according to People. She clarified whether Trump's daughter is, truly, calling them "patriots."

Ivanka Trump replied and explained that she was not calling them as one. Instead, she claimed that "peaceful protest is patriotic." She, then, emphasized that "violence is unacceptable and must be condemned in the strongest terms."

Several Twitter users quickly criticized her for being in denial of her own words. Some even shared screenshots of her now-deleted post to prove that she described the rioters as patriots.

"You did, literally in the tweet," one netizen said, urging that the "seditious crook" Ivanka should "stop gaslighting" the public. Patriots are those "who voted and ran the elections," another critic shared, and later pointed out that "self-declared 'revolutionaries' who seek to ignore the rules of law" are not.

"Here's the deleted tweet," a different social media user posted, alongside a clear screenshot of the First Daughter's statement. The same netizen said that it clearly shows how she called "violent, pro-Trump rioters engaged in an attempted overthrow of the U.S. government 'patriots.'"

But, despite all the criticisms and strictures, Ivanka Trump still received support and backing from some of her supporters. Many even defended her from all the hate and angry posts in the comment section.

"I see people occupying a building," a follower began, and challenged critics to state what makes the building occupation a violent move. "No one will listen if we don't take a stand," another fan explained and, later on, apologized for all the critics' comments about her.

Reports shared that the controversies surrounding Ivanka Trump emerged after a large crowd of Trump supporters "moved en masse" to the U.S. Capitol. Upon outnumbering the police, the demonstrators breached the building by breaking windows.

They, also, entered the chambers of the congressional, including the offices of the lawmakers. Apart from "looting and vandalism," there were, reportedly, "gunfire and injuries," as well.

The violent mob that stormed the venue seemingly intended to interrupt the ratification of the Electoral College vote for Joe Biden. But, it has since resumed the session after dismissing the whole debacle.
