Grown-ish season 3 episode 9 is finally coming next week on Freeform. The Black-ish spin-off has been on hiatus since March 2020 as production was shut down at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the sitcom is bringing a lot of interesting stories for Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi) and others.
Grown-ish season 3 episode 9 is titled "Public Service Announcement," and it will pick up where episode 8 left off. Zoey's storyline remains to be the major focus here. She is now living in a new world, exploring other parts of herself, and working with other people in the process.
As for a quick recap in episode 8, titled "Age Ain't Nothing But A Number," Zoey made an unexpected decision during her 21st birthday. She dropped out of Cal U and chose another path for her future, which is becoming a stylist.
Zoey is not a student of Cal U anymore after deciding to pursue her dream job. Although she seemed happy at first, the situation eventually becomes complicated. She is struggling to balance the demands of her work and her personal life.
Grown-ish season 3 episode 9 sees Zoey juggling with the life that she chose after dropping out it Cal U. She loves her job and this has been her dream for a long time. However, she may soon realize that living a life in her new world comes with certain challenges.
Meanwhile, the trailer didn't show the challenges Zoey's about to face as it focused more on the upbeat parts of her job. She's enjoying her life being a stylist, especially since she now has two celebrity clients. But, even though she's living her new life, she's still spending some time with the people at Cal U.
Zoey will interact with some of the characters, but conflict may arise along the way. Beyond this storyline, Grown-ish season 3 episode 9 also sees Jazz Foster (Chloe Bailey) and Doug Edwards (Diggy Simmons) struggling with the rules of their relationship and making a change.
Moreover, an important moment is coming for Nomi Segal (Emily Arlook). She's dealing with the new phase of her life now that she is a new mom. Based on what was shown in the trailer, the series will continue to bring stories relevant to the real world, particularly in entering the adulthood stage.
Grown-ish season 3 episode 9 is set to arrive on Thursday, Jan. 21, on Freeform.
