Jungkook was given the title “Sold Out King” because ARMYs quickly sell out anything that he wears and touches. Now, the BTS star has proven that he hasn’t lost this title at all as he accidentally sells out one item from his pink pouch.
BTS is a walking endorsement. Knowing their selling power, luxury and local brands have been trying to strike a deal with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, but the group prefers not to be tied with a brand. This means that the boys buy most of the things that they use because they like them and not because they are paid to use them.
That said, ARMYs are even more interested in buying these items, knowing that RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook purchased them with their own money.
BANGTANTV recently uploaded a video of Jin and Jungkook vandalizing each other’s personal belongings. Mr. Worlwide Handsome decided to write his name on his new phone using a permanent marker. When he left it unattended, JK got hold of it and added a character that turned Jin’s name into “Jan.”
Jin took revenge and wrote on Jungkook’s toiletry bag when he wasn’t around. Since it was a transparent pouch, the items inside were visible. It wasn’t long before ARMYs identified every single item in his bag.
The video was then cut to Suga trying on Jungkook’s perfumes. Even though they were blurred out, eagle-eyed ARMYs still managed to figure out that one of them was Forment‘s “Cotton Hug.”
After the discovery, “Cotton Hug” was sold out on Forment‘s official website. The product also rose to the top of the real-time search trends the time BANGTANTV released the video.
While this sudden rise in sales is good news for the brand, it is not ideal for Jungkook. The “My Time” singer previously refused to tell the brand of his perfume, so ARMYs won’t sell it out.
In one of his earlier live broadcasts, Jungkook shared about his favorite cologne but chose to keep the brand to himself. JK already had a hunch that if he mentions a brand, ARMYs would instantly go out shopping for it.
“I’m not going to tell you what it is because I’m going to be the only one using it. But this is a good cologne,” he said.
Now, it seems that Jungkook will have to purchase a different brand as ARMYs have already sold out the perfume on his pouch.
