BTS has a lot of successful songs throughout their career, but “I Need U” holds a special place in the boys' and ARMYs’ hearts. The 2015 song gave RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook their very first 1st place win on KBS‘s Music Bank, making their mark in the K-pop world.

So in 2020 KBS Gayo Daechukje, BTS performed “I Need U” to seemingly remind everyone how it all started. The boys had never forgotten their past and have always been grateful for their humble beginnings.

Aside from its unique tone and heartbreaking lyrics, “I Need U” offers some powerful dance moves as well. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have serious facial expressions throughout their performance to convey the meaning of the song, but Jin made it hard for JH to maintain that concept.

You see, Jin made a rookie mistake that led J-Hope to break from character. Mr. Worldwide Handsome accidentally stomped on JH’s foot in one part of the choreography, and the latter couldn’t help but smile.

While ARMYs love J-Hope’s bright smile, “I Need U” is about a cold-hearted girl who causes heartbreak, so the performance required an emotional expression. But no one could blame JH for smiling, as Jin’s misstep was something that rookies would do.

BTS has been in the industry for almost a decade and has performed on local and international stages hundreds of times, so Jin stepping on J-Hope’s foot during their recent performance was quite funny.

Meanwhile, J-Hope drove fans into a frenzy when he became extra active on Weverse back in March. The “Ego” rapper first shared a post saying that he had a nightmare, then started replying to his members and ARMYs posts.

One fan asked J-Hope, “What do you think about a hyung like this?” while posting a GIF of Jin from their Samsung “Galaxy X BTS: Captured #withGalaxy S20 Series” video. The "Moon" singer can be seen dancing while making a silly face.

“I love a hyung like this. This hyung is my favorite in the whole wide world. In fact, I will look at this whenever I feel down. I don’t think I can live without a hyung like this,” J-Hope replied.

It’s no secret that BTS looks up to Jin a lot, not only because he’s the oldest member of the group, but he has a lot of admirable qualities. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter is mostly known for his playful ways, but he also makes sure to share a positive influence with his members.
