Melania Trump will exit the White House on Wednesday. But, after serving as the First Lady of the United States for four years, it seemingly appears that the majority of the American public did not find her and her movements pleasing nor satisfactory.

A recent analysis from CNN reports that Melania will leave her post with the "worst popularity rating for any First Lady" in polling history. The latest poll from the institution shows that she obtained a 42 percent favorability rating against her 47 percent unfavorability rating.

The publication said that the outgoing First Lady's unfavorability rating is the "highest" they have ever recorded for her. It is, also, reportedly, "amazingly high from a historical perspective."

The piece continued that it is "hard to be unpopular" being the First Lady of the United States. The reason being is that the position is "unelected and normally uncontroversial." This is why most First Ladies in U.S. history are, reportedly, "nearly uniformly admired."

The same report, then, explained that, before Melania Trump, the average final popularity rating for a First Lady was 71 percent, alongside the 21 percent unpopularity rating. The figures came from all the polls, which began with Pat Nixon's tenure back in the early 70s.

The only First Lady who was able to achieve 85 percent of favorability rating was Barbara Bush in 1993. The two other First Ladies who had above average popularity ratings were Laura Bush and Michelle Obama.

The closest to Melania's ratings are Hillary Clinton's. But, despite this dynamic, her 52 percent favorability and 39 percent unfavorability ratings "still easily beat Trump's."

A separate report from CNN, then, looked back at Melania Trump's previous ratings. In the entirety of her tenure inside the White House, she achieved her highest favorability ratings in 2018.

The outgoing First Lady obtained an overall score of 57 percent. Based on speculations, the ratings came on the heels of the first State Dinner, as well as her attendance at the former First Lady Barbara Bush's funeral. As stated, she attended the service even without her husband.

Later that year, though, her ratings fell down following her trip to Africa. Polls from the same institution garnered 43 percent for her favorability rating and 36 percent for her unfavorability rating.

While reports deem the figures as "worse" in comparison to her predecessors, Melania Trump's ratings remain "notably higher" than Donald Trump's. He will leave the White House on Wednesday with his final favorability rating of 33 percent.
