Melania Trump now has less than a week to do her job as the First Lady of the United States. But, ahead of her and Donald Trump's exit from their posts, they continue to receive criticisms from the public.

On Thursday, White House correspondent Kate Bennett wrote a piece for CNN, noting how Melania "plods" toward the end of the U.S. President's term. Sources shared details of how "she is part" of her husband's movements despite her silence.

One insider, also, claimed that, like the U.S. President, she has not done "anything of significance" in her post at the East Wing. From her plans for her post-White House years to her efforts in helping Jill Biden, "she has not established an office," adding that she has not even made contact with the incoming First Lady.

It was, reportedly, "unprecedented" for Donald Trump to refuse his successor Joe Biden into the People's House, and Melania Trump appears to follow suit, according to the New Zealand Herald.

This dynamic is quite different from what Michelle Obama and Laura Bush did back in 2009. Reports said that they became and have since remained as "friends."

In 2016, Obama continued with the same effort and "discussed the role," as well as her experiences, with Trump. This is despite acknowledging that it was not an "easy" thing to do.

Amid all the talks and speculations, reports said that Melania Trump is likely occupied with other things. Based on assertions, the only thing she has done include "working on photo albums," featuring images of her during her tenure as the First Lady of the United States, and "oversee photo shoots" of decorative items inside the White House. Reports noted, as well, that these things come side by side with her time packing for her exit from the Executive Residence.

Kate Andersen Brower, later on, told Kate Bennett that "there's never been any First Lady as stubborn and defiant as Melania." She added that Trump has likely "channeled her husband's fury and is obviously not interested in playing the traditional role."

There is one thing that, reportedly, differs Melania Trump from Donald Trump, though. The Daily Mail reiterated that she is "not sad to be leaving" the White House, while the U.S. President "wants desperately to stay." A source with knowledge of the First Lady's "mood", then, asserted that she is "cool" with leaving her post from the East Wing.
