WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for the premiere of 9-1-1 season 4. Read at your own risk.

9-1-1 season 4 episode 2 is coming next week on Fox, with the title "Alone Together." Before the fourth installment's official premiere, there have been a lot of hints on what's coming ahead in the story. Previous promos have already teased that huge chaos is coming across the city.

9-1-1 season 4 episode 2 will feature a big crisis, which has been featured in the premiere. The mudslide will be at the front and center of everything, and it'll threaten the lives of the people. The first responders will put their own lives in danger just to rescue those who need help.

According to the synopsis of 9-1-1 season 4 episode 2, everyone deals with the aftermath of the dam break. At the same time, a massive mudslide occurred, and it wreaks havoc in the entire Los Angeles. The stakes are higher, and most of the characters face a life-or-death situation.

Athena (Angela Bassett) fights for her life while trying to save an agoraphobic woman after her house collapsed. She was, once again, put in danger in the premiere of the fourth installment. She decided to go back to work despite sustaining injuries last spring.

The first episode kicked off with the destructing of the Hollywood Reservoir dam, leading to huge trouble in the city. The COVID-19 pandemic isn't the major concern anymore, as the people are following the social distancing and wearing masks.

Athena returned to work, but she faced new danger after being stuck inside the house with a woman named Sylvia (Lilli Birdsell). The latter refused to evacuate even though they're already in the danger zone. Then, she admitted the reason why she doesn't want to go out.

Sylvia hasn't been outside her house for seven years as she thinks it's "not safe" out there. Athena tried to convince her to go out and opened up about her own experience. Eventually, Sylvia agreed, but when they're about to head out, the Hollywood sign collapses, prompting them to run back inside the house.

9-1-1 season 4 episode 2 also sees Buck (Oliver Stark) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) on the run to rescue pregnant women who are trapped in a submerged house. Bobby (Peter Krause), Hen (Aisha Hinds), and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) race against the time to save hikers endangered by the collapsing Hollywood sign.

9-1-1 season 4 episode 2 airs on Monday, Jan. 25, on Fox.
