The Blacklist season 8 episode 5 will be picking up the events that happened in episode 4, titled "Elizabeth Keen." Megan Boone's character is going on a darker path and is determined to take Raymond Reddington (James Spader) down. She's willing to take whatever is necessary to find out the truth.
The Blacklist season 5 episode 8 comes with the title "Fribourg Confidence." In the previous episode, Liz ended up on the top stop on the blacklist. She stayed at the house of Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), who advised her that she should go against Red.
Later on, she went to her old apartment, where Red -- along with Esi (Kecia Lewis), Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq), and other guys -- appeared. Liz managed to escape and goes to Tadashi (Alex Shimizu) to get the list of blacklisters. She thinks that this is her way to get back on her former partner.
Liz witnessed how Red killed her mother, Katarina Rostova (Laila Robins). She is seeking revenge but also wants to find out the truth about his partner's real identity. She believes that he's been hiding a lot of secrets from her -- particularly who he really is.
In The Blacklist season 8 episode 5, Liz will continue to be the latest Big Bad in Red's side. She's willing to risk her reputation -- even betraying the Task Force -- just to do whatever's on her mind. She'll be communicating with old blacklisters to make his former partner's life more complicated.
Liz is going to work with these people, who could serve as a huge torn on Red's life. As per the synopsis, an old blacklist case resurfaced. The promo teased that an assassin, who's known as The Freelancer, will show up again.
The Freelancer first appeared during the second episode of season 1. This person is returning in The Blacklist season 8 episode 5, and he's set to pay for the crimes he did in the past. But, in order to do that, the Task Force needs to locate Liz's whereabouts first.
Liz is recruiting old and new blacklisters to her side -- and The Freelancer is one of them. The latter is a dangerous adversary as he often stages mass casualty to make sure that he murdered his specific targets. He's going to be a major problem for Red and the Task Force.
While dealing with Liz, Red and the rest also needs to take on the case-of-the-week in The Blacklist season 8 episode 5. The Task Force will be investigating an organization of bank robbers who know how to steal from other criminals.
