One Piece Episode 961, titled "Tearful Apprentice - Oden and Kin'emon," will begin featuring a major flashback of Kozuki Oden's life. Fans will get to know his back story, from how he helped Gol D Roger finding One Piece to scaring Kaido to death to meeting his allies.
The flashback will take fans to some 20 years ago, giving a glimpse of the young Orochi, Denjiro, and more in One Piece Episode 961. This will provide fans with a full account of Oden's past journey, from the time he was born to the day he needed to face Kaido.
The new episode's preview shows Oden meeting Denjiro, Orochi, Kiku, and others to go head-to-head against Ashura Doji and his men. From here, viewers will learn how this group became his followers and how he returned to Wano, BlockToro noted.
According to Duniaku, it will feature the epic adventure of Oden and his students. After meeting the young Kinemon and Denjiro, Oden will show how he effortlessly defeats a huge wild boar and put the city in ruins.
Kinemon and Denjiro will then start to follow Oden, becoming his subordinates and giving birth to the Red Nine Scabbards. However, aside from these two, the daimyo of Kuri will have more apprentices in One Piece Episode 961.
Aside from Kinemon and Denjiro, some young Nine Red Scabbards' young members will also be introduced. Fans may get to see Raizo, Kanjuro, Izo, and a few more to form this group of powerful samurais.
So, there will be more scenes from Oden's retainers so everyone will get to know them further. Lastly, a younger Orochi will make an appearance, returning to when he was not yet a mighty Shogun in Wano.
In One Piece Episode 960, Orochi might find it hard to believe, but he knew the Red Nine Scabbard members were still alive. Hence, he wanted to see all of their heads in front of him to make sure of their demise.
At this point, he didn't care anymore if the public would think of him as crazy. However, as a Shogun in Wano, he had the "authority to take action."
He then took a map and blocked all the ways to Tokage Port. He then commended his enemies for bringing in 4,000 troops.
