Kate Middleton released a video on the Instagram account she shares with Prince William and it's a selfie video to showcase an initiative close to her heart.

The Duchess of Cambridge uploaded a rare selfie video as the United Kingdom observes Children's Mental Health Week. Kate is the patron of Place2Be, which organizes this annual event.

Kate said in the video that children, as well as adults, must find creative ways for them to release their "thoughts, ideas and feelings." She talked about using tools like photography, music or poetry as a way for individuals to make themselves feel better, emphasizing this year's theme to "Express Yourself."

In her case, the Duchess of Cambridge said that outdoor exercise is how she copes and keeps her mental health in check. But to express herself, she also took a video while taking a walk at Anmer Hall, the country estate gifted to her and William by Queen Elizabeth during their wedding.

Kate ended her short video by reminding her followers that a focus on mental health is important in this pandemic period. Family members, friends, including the kids, might find it hard to open up and share their thoughts or feelings so it would be good to check up on each other once in a while.

Kate's selfie video received heaps of positive comments, mostly thanking the Duchess of Cambridge for her inspiring message. Some followers also remarked on Kate's refreshing physical appearance, with many saying that the royal family is lucky to have such a future Queen Consort.

Place2Be launched Children's Mental Health in 2015 to highlight the importance of the mental growth and stability of young people. It is in line with her other initiative relating to the early years development of children, which she launched during the pandemic.

Incidentally, 2021 is pretty special for the Duchess of Cambridge as she will be celebrating her 10th year as a member of the royal family. She will also celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary with William in April.

As news of the Duchess of Cambridge's milestones come, photographs from her dating years with William, allegedly, resurfaced online. New Idea reported that Buckingham Palace tried to bury the images of the couple sharing a sweet kiss in a parking area in 2009 because royal protocols shun public displays of affection.

However, the images only stress how much Kate and William's relationship remain solid after two decades together. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been dating close to 10 years before they decided to exchange vows in 2011. Now, Kate and William are parents to three kids and are primed to become the future King and Queen, after Prince Charles and Camilla's reign.
