Officer Jackson West (Titus Markin Jr.) will continue to deal with Officer Doug Stanton's (Brandon Routh) action and it could jeopardize his job in The Rookie season 3 episode 5. His training officer has been doing a lot of things that are opposed to his principles as a cop.
In The Rookie season 3 episode 5, Jackson and Doug's relationship reached its tipping point and it could potentially end the former's career. Jackson wants to make sure justice is served after seeing Doug abusing his power. He's racist, using police brutality, and disrespecting other officers in the field.
Doug is unbothered with everything and has no accountability for what he's done. Jackson will try to correct the situation and make things right in The Rookie season 3 episode 5. No one wants to listen to him at first, but they now recognized his training officer's actions.
Jackson will fight for his future even though he knows there are challenges coming his way. Doug seems to get away with his past actions, considering that he's still in the field until now. There's going to be a significant conversation here, which mainly focused on police reform.
Aside from Jackson's challenging storyline, The Rookie season 3 episode 5 will bring Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) to the spotlight, as well. The title of the upcoming episode is "Lockdown," which is a reference to what's coming to him.
According to the synopsis, Nolan was taken hostage by a man with nothing to lose. The situation has prompted the entire station to go on lockdown. The officers race against time to reveal the identity of the suspect before it's too late.
In another report, Toks Olagundoye is set to appear as Fiona Ryan in the police procedural. She has a connection to Nolan, as she used to be his professor in Ethics and Criminal Justice class. The character will first show up in the sixth episode, titled "Revelations."
Nolan goes back to his school to become a training officer and he'll eventually come across Fiona. Their interactions could have some revelations about Fillion's character. Also, this is a hint that he survived whatever happened to him in "Lockdown."
