Kevin Pearson's (Justine Hartley) storyline is going to be the major focus in the upcoming This Is Us season 5 episode 7. He embarks on a journey and the situation eventually goes sideways. His life might be in danger after seemingly meeting a car accident while he's on his way home from Vancouver.

Kevin takes the center of the stage in This Is Us season 5 episode 7. In the recently-released promo, he went to Vancouver to film his latest movie. However, he rushes back home when Madison Simons (Caitlin Thompson) called and informed him that she's about to give birth to their twins.

This is something that both of them didn't expect, given that Madison isn't due anytime soon. The situation prompted Kevin to go back home to accompany the mother of his twins. As seen in the clip, he regrets that he left her alone to pursue his career.

Kevin wants this job, but he recognized that Madison needs him now. The twins might be born prematurely since she likely goes into labor. He drives back home in order to be with her, but while he's on his way, he lost his focus on the road for a second and collided with another car.

The previous promo of This Is Us season 5 episode 7 already hinted that something bad happened to Kevin. Based on the footage, he crashed on the other side of the road and his wallet and ID were on the ground. He's also heard talking to someone on the phone, presumably Madison.

The good news is that Kevin will survive whatever may happen to him in This Is Us season 5 episode 7. After all, he's present in flash-forward scenes, which is a confirmation that he gets through the car accident. Perhaps, the biggest question is what the future holds for him and Madison.

The flash-forwards have shown Kevin being a father to twins. However, there's a mystery on whether Madison is the mother and if they ended up together. This is something that needed to be answered, especially since his wife in the future is yet to be seen.

Meanwhile, the romantic family drama has been on hiatus for several weeks now. Previously, series creator Dan Fogelman explained on Twitter the unusual schedule of the series has something to do with the COVID-19-related delays -- particularly the recent LA shutdown.

This Is Us season 5 episode 7, titled "There," is airing on Tuesday, Feb. 9, on NBC.
