The Penthouse season 2 releases new photos featuring Yoon Jong Hoon, who plays the character of Ha Yoon Cheol. He works at the Cheong Ah Medical Center and Cheon Seo Jin's (Kim So Yeon) husband. For the next chapter, the actor is set to play a darker role.
The Penthouse season 2 will continue to follow the families living in the apartment complex. Those who are residing at the Penthouse were considered at the "top of the social pyramid." The story centers on revenge, wherein a group of women will do everything to protect their children.
During the first season, Yoon Jong Hoon's Ha Yoon Cheol has made several evildoings. He was able to gather funds through his illegal ways and also disposed the dead body of Min Seol Ah (Jo Soo Min), the daughter of Shim Soo Ryeon (Lee Ji Ah).
When he found out that Cheon Seo Jin is having an affair with Joo Dan Tae (Uhm Ki Joon), Ha Yoon Cheol showed interest in his first love Oh Yoon Hee (S.E.S.'s Eugene). Eventually, he divorced his wife, who promised to give him 7 billion won (approximately $6.3 million) as a form of settlement.
Ha Yoon Cheol earned a higher position at the hospital because of Cheon Myung Soo's (Jung Sung Mo) will. However, Cheon Seo Jin planned something that ruined his reputation before she headed to America. This storyline will be a huge part of the upcoming The Penthouse season 2.
Many praised Yoon Jong Hoon for his performance in the series, where his character dealt with different emotions -- including his wife's betrayal, desiring to have more money and power, and protecting his daughter. After what happened to him and Cheon Seo Jin, Ha Yoon Cheol heads to a darker path.
In some of the recent posters of The Penthouse season 2, Yoon Jong Hoon shows his dark energy as Ha Yoon Cheol. He is expressionless with his eyes lowered, highlighting his cold aura. His intense gaze seemingly suggests that he's seeking revenge after what happened to him in season 1.
Meanwhile, Yoon Jong Hoon looked back at the first season. In a previous interview Maeil Business Newspaper's Star Today, the actor said he's thankful they finished filming without any problems. He also thanked fans for the support as season 1 garnered a nationwide average of 28.8 percent.
The Penthouse season 2 will premiere on Friday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. KST on SBS.
