Fans are still wondering what will be the future of One Punch Man Season 3 until today. As it has been more than a year since Season 2 ended, will Saitama and the rest of the gang hit the small screen again?
Neither of its two previous studios, Madhouse nor J.C. Staff, reveals anything about One Punch Man Season 3. As even the creator, Yusuke Murata, remains mum about the anime's renewal, does it mean fans have seen the last of the series?
According to TV Season Spoilers, Season 2 received several negative reviews that made fans worried for Season 3's future. The publication also claimed the anime had no enough source material for continuing.
Hence, there are rumors the show may never see the light of the day and may already be canceled. However, a Twitter post shut down the claim, insisting the anime is not over yet.
The series' creator thanked fans for supporting the second season and promised to do their best to deliver One Punch Man Season 3. They also asked for the fans' support so that they could get the new season approved faster.
Epic Stream added Season 2 concluded with an open ending, leaving the door wide open for a new season to continue. However, as it yet to get the green light, it looks fans are once again up for a long waiting game.
Devdiscourse noted the third season might also take a lot of time before it finally dropped, just like the second season. There was a good gap of four years between Season 1 and Season 2, so Season 3 might have the same fate.
Despite the long wait, this would perfectly give the creator the right time to work on the third installment. Here, fans might see Garou taking the beast pills and becoming a worthy opponent that Saitama would face.
If this happens, there is no way that Saitama can bring Garou down by just a single punch. Fans may see more of the villain this time to show the other parts of his "human-monster character."
As One Punch Man Season 3 will bring more of Garou on the surface, viewers may not see much of Genos this time. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen when the new season will hit the small screen with the lack of update.
There are claims it may be out later than the second season's release because of the coronavirus' widespread. The Covid-19 pandemic may have also contributed to the delay, so it looks like fans still have to wait for an official announcement about it.
