In Kingdom Chapter 669, fans saw a major flashback of what happened to Rei and Shiki during the ritual. As Kyoukai and Rei fought each other, the latter revealed her past, Spoiler Guy noted.
Rei admitted she stabbed Shiki after the latter stopped her sword during the attack. As they promised to go all out during the fight, Shiki didn't do so.
Killing her sister already put Rei in the darkness, and she felt everyone seemed to push her further into it. She now hated reality and wanted to send all of them to Shiki.
However, Kyoukai stopped her and asked if Shiki if didn't say anything before she died. Rei then recalled the exact moment when Shiki was about to take her last breath.
She apologized and called herself selfish after not following their rules. Shiki also asked Rei to live her life to the fullest and confessed her love for her sibling. The chapter then ended with Rei screaming she loved her sister too, the words she was not able to mouth when she died.
Meanwhile, aside from the coming of Kingdom Chapter 670, fans will also be treated with the arrival of Kingdom Season 3, per Anime News Network. After almost a year of delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the anime will finally hit the small screen.
Kingdom Chapter 670 is set to be out on Sunday, February 21, while Kingdom Season 3 will begin on Sunday, April 4.
