Re: Zero Season 2 Episode 21 will continue the Sanctuary's origin story. Subaru and Otto will be getting the help of Garfiel as they make their way to the battle.
There will also be a series of other fights happening in Re: Zero Season 2 Episode 21, involving Roswaal, Emilia, Ram, Frederica, and more. As Emilia now holds her full power, she may use it to their advantage.
In the new episode's preview, via Epic Dope, Roswaal is about to face Emilia, while Ram will be watching the two if they will proceed with their battle or not. Now that Emilia can fully use her power, it will be an incredible sight to see what will happen next in the series.
However, there are theories Emilia will choose not to fight Roswaal for Ram's sake, knowing the latter has feelings for her.
On the other hand, Frederica and Elsa will continue their fight as they prepare themselves to go all the way out for another round in Re: Zero Season 2 Episode 21. Fans will also witness an intense brawl between Garfiel and Elsa, and it is expected to be a "power-packed fight."
In Re: Zero Season 2 Episode 20, Subaru revealed to Roswaal what he learned about his past. He knew he had an unknown disease 400 years ago. However, when Echidna arrived in his room, she revealed he didn't have any illnesses but a sporadic condition called Magic Release Period.
Echidna then kissed him and sucked all the mana out of his body, making him feel fine. She then took Roswaal under her wings and trained him, The Cinemaholic noted.
This made him grew closer to Beatrice and Ryuzu Meyer, though he was romantically drawn to Echidna. The latter told him Hector, the Warlock of Melancholy, was after her, and he might arrive anytime.
Though they were prepared, they knew they were not ready yet. Anyhow, Ryuzu volunteered to be the crystal core that would build up barriers around the Sanctuary.
This would help them protect everyone and everything from Hector. When the day of his arrival came, Roswaal confronted Hector, but he was of no match to his ability.
Victor broke every bone in Roswaal's body when Edchina arrived. She then prepared for a battle against him, while Ryuzu bid her goodbye to Beatrice to turn into a crystal.
In other events, Roswaal refused to "concede defeat to Subaru." As they argued, Subaru warned Roswaal never to underestimate Emilia.
Emilia then came out of her trial and saw Ram waiting for her outside the ruin. In Re: Zero Season 2 Episode 21, there might be a reunion between Emilia and Subaru.
The new episode will drop on Wednesday, February 24, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time or 10:30 p.m. Japanese Time, per Epic Stream.
