Queen Elizabeth has had a tough few weeks dealing with issues affecting the royal family, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to leave their duties for good while Prince Philip is still in the hospital.

According to a royal insider, the Queen had her "tearful moments" in the past weeks, along with some feelings of anger and disappointment. The source said that the situation with Harry and Meghan has been especially challenging for Queen Elizabeth who had hoped they would reconsider their duties.

Her Majesty also can't help but worry about Philip, who is hospitalized miles away in London for an infection. Doctors have revealed that they cannot discharge the Duke of Edinburgh yet but he has been responding to the medications.

The source also said that Queen Elizabeth has been regularly communicating with Harry, Meghan and their son, Archie Harrison. But a virtual video call isn't the same as the Queen apparently wants to hug her grandchildren, especially Archie, who is turning two years old.

The royal family last saw the Sussex child in the flesh when he was only a few months old. The toddler won't be joining his father when Harry comes home to London for the special celebration of Philip's 100th birthday and the Trooping the Colour parade in June.

Meanwhile, another source told E! News that Harry will likely address the rumored "tension" with the royal family in their upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey. It is believed that Meghan will also talk about how she didn't have a voice when she became part of such a traditional institution.

Reports also stated that the producers have significantly re-edited the interview to include their most recent losses. Queen Elizabeth stripped Harry and Meghan of their patronages and Harry's military roles after the pair said that they cannot fully commit to their working royal roles any longer.

But a source already told People that inasmuch as Harry and Meghan are sad about losing their remaining royal roles, they still have much respect for Queen Elizabeth. The bond between the Queen and the Sussexes remains very strong, a royal source said.

Some are quite hopeful that Harry and his brother, Prince William, will also be able to focus on rebuilding their relationship now that disagreements about duties are off the table. However, other insiders revealed that William has not been happy with Harry and Meghan's final decision and their reaction to the Queen's announcement about losing their royal patronages.
