BTS has breaking music records both in the local and international music scenes. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have been making different histories as the first South Korean, Asian act, and artists whose non-English songs are sweeping various awards from the biggest award-giving bodies.

From American Music Awards to the Grammy Awards, BTS has been conquering it all. As they are about to dominate the upcoming Grammys, here is how the boys have broken the barrier over time.

Grammy Awards Performance

Fans have probably heard by now that BTS will be performing at the 63rd Grammy Awards on Sunday, March 14. The group has been nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, so they are about to prove why they should win this category.

According to Koreaboo, they will be bringing the fire on the Grammy stage and "set the night alight" in front of the international audience. Of course, they will be performing their hit song, "Dynamite," for the event--a first for a Korean act to perform as an official nominee.

Global Recording Artist of the Year

In case you don't know, BTS has once again made music history after winning the Global Recording Artist of the Year 2020 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The organization represents the global recorded music industry, calculating the artists' worldwide performance across digital and physical music formats during the year, Asia Tatler noted.

RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have broken another music history for the first South Korean, Asian, and act whose songs are non-English that win this award. They have shattered barriers for being the only Asian group in the top 10 list, defeating the likes of Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd and more.

Greatest Pop Star

Another record added on BTS's lengthy list of awards and honors is being the Greatest Pop Star of 2020 by Billboard. The publication's Mia Nazareno said the boys have "heralded the genre's true U.S. breakthrough" in this feat, per Billboard.

Their uber-successful international tours, three No.1 albums on the Billboard 200, and the horde of fans all over the world are just some of the proofs of their success. No wonder these world-conquering boys have become one of the greatest performers in the world.

Most Music Show Wins

Indeed, there are a lot of BTS songs that they have successfully made famous all over the world, but "Dynamite" has been breaking records since its release last year. It first won the first English-language single in the Korean music show, Music Core, Kpop Starz cited.

In November last year, it already had 22 music show wins, beating their own record with their song "Boy with Luv" that had the most wins. It now received a total of 31 trophies, three from Inkigayo and Show Champion, ten from Music Core, and 15 from Music Bank.
