New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3 is coming next week on NBC, with the title "Safe Enough." The story will continue to explore the changes in the titular hospital, with the doctors having to adapt to it. All of them are now living in a new world, and they must deal with the highs and lows that come with it.

New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3 sees Max Goodwin and other doctors utilizing the new methods imposed in the hospital. However, it looks like Ryan Eggold's character doesn't want to change the system, and he wanted to completely reinvent it, instead.

Although Max recognized that this wouldn't be easy, he prepared himself for the challenges coming his way. According to the synopsis of New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3, he will be resisting an idea that could bring the hospital more revenue.

The hospital became more like a business because of the new system, and Max doesn't want that. And while dealing with the changes happening around them, the effects of the COVID-19 still linger. The world stopped due to the pandemic, but the characters know they have to continue with their job.

Elsewhere in New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3, Iggy Frome (Tyler Labine) will push back on the new telemedicine system. The character has been dealing with his eating disorders and the pandemic compounded his condition.

In the premiere, Iggy consumed healthy snacks and bragged about his diet to other doctors. However, he passed out after days of not eating a proper meal. Now, his storyline and current condition will be further explored in the next few episodes.

Meanwhile, Jocko Sims' Floyr Reynolds returned in episode 2 to perform a life-saving operation on his former colleague, Vijay Kapoor (Anupam Kher). The main question now is whether he's going to stay at the hospital or it was just a temporary visit.

Reynolds relocated to San Francisco over a year ago, but it looks like he still has thoughts of staying after what happened. In fact, at the end of the previous episode, he told Lauren Bloom (Janet Montgomery) that he should have been there.

In a recent interview with TVLine, Sims talked about the future of Reynolds in the hospital. Although he didn't confirm he is staying for good, he teased that there will be "twists and turns" coming along the way and viewers should be prepared for that.

New Amsterdam season 3 episode 3 airs on Tuesday, March 16, on NBC.
