Fans are now looking forward to seeing the return of Joe in Megalo Box Season 2. As one of the best anime series of 2018, the show will try to redeem this title again.

Once again, fans will see the story of the low-life boxer who has an exceptional boxing talent the moment he steps into the boxing ring. But in the world of sports dominated by a class hierarchy, can he stand a chance in Megalo Box Season 2?

Seven years after he has been gone, Joe will return to fight in the big Megalo Box tournament. Though he only has a slim chance to do so, will he win the biggest battle of his life?

The anime series may have a familiar plot, but it offers something fresh to see amid the modern mainstream anime of today. It recently drops a new visual and trailer to keep fans more excited, teasing Joe's return.

According to EpicDope, Megalo Box Season 2's key art features a similar vintage look from the 1970s. There's a colorful hummingbird, but it is a complete opposite of Joe's, or now better known as Nomad, dark image.

He seems to be like a shadow in the dark, though his fierce look is still evident. Anyhow, the poster can't hide the sad look in his eyes. After being lost for seven years, can he still redeem himself in the world that he once left?

Comicbook noted the new season would play out as a sequel to the original 2018 anime. It will feature a major time-jump after the end of the first series.

Joe will have a brand new look, while fans will also see the rest of the original cast of characters' return. In Megalo Box Season 2's trailer, viewers can have a glimpse of Joe, Gansaku, Yuri, Sachio, Yukiko, Mikio, and Aragaki, and their significant changes.

Originally titled Nomad, it will be out on Funimation this Spring, per That Hashtag Show. It will be part of the said season's line-up, though the network is yet to reveal when it will exactly be out.

Anyhow, Megalo Box Season 2 will start airing on Sunday, April 4, in Japan. Probably, after a few days or weeks, it will be released on Funimation.
