After spending more than two years together, fans have to say goodbye to their favorite K-Pop female group, IZ*ONE. The twelve-member band will be disbanding this April, so their supporters now question what will happen to them in the future.

It can't be denied that IZ*ONE is one of Korea's most famous female groups. So, relive the moment they have triumphed the intense fight in the K-Pop world and make your tissues ready as they are about to bid their final farewell.

The Girls' Victories

Could you still remember the time that the girls' started in August 2018? It was when their final line-up was announced.

Amid the many aspirants that Produce 48 had, Jang Won-young, Sakura Miyawaki, Jo Yu-ri, Choi Ye-na, An Yu-jin, Nako Yabuki, Kwon Eun-bi, Kang Hye-won, Hitomi Honda, Kim Chae-won, Kim Min-Ju, and Lee Chae-Yeon were the lucky ones who were chosen. From here, their dreams started to come true, and their lives had dramatically changed, Koreaboo noted.

They started winning awards here and there, and the most memorable of them all was winning several new artist and rookie awards in 2018, thanks to their hit song, "La Vie En Rose." In total, they got to bag in over 20 more awards from major Korean award-giving bodies.

The Disbanding Announcement

A lot WIZ*ONE hearts are broken after Mnet announced the disbandment of IZ*ONE in April. It will work out as planned, as the group only has to work together for about two years.

According to Soompi, Mnet, Swing Entertainment, and Off the Record held a serious talk about the girls' future. Each agency gave their opinions about what would happen next to the 12 ladies and the best they could do for them.

Sadly, it will officially be a goodbye, as they are about to hold their final online concert, called One, The Story, on Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14. The companies then expressed their gratitude to the girls for doing their best and promised to support them as artists.

The Girls' Future

Of course, fans are now worrying for the girls' future now that IZ*ONE will be dissolved. They also want to know what will happen next to their Japanese members, Sakura, Nako, and Hitomi.

Mnet revealed, via KPopStarz, everyone is expected to return to their respective agencies. They will continue their works and other activities, though not as a group anymore. 

The Korean members may debut as solo artists or form a new girl group. The Japanese girls, on the other hand, may return to their respective teams, HKT48 and AKB48, though it remains to be seen if they will do so. They may also stay in Korea and join renowned agencies here and continue to be K-pop idols.
