Prince William and Prince Harry are communicating and exchanging text messages after the latter sat down with Meghan Markle for an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Days after the interview aired, William told the British press that he has not yet spoken with his brother but assured them that he will soon. Sources said William and Harry have already been in touch to set up a proper conversation and thresh out their issues.

Harry admitted to Winfrey that his current relationship with William is about giving each other space. The Duke of Sussex, however, said that he loves his brother to bits, especially when they've been "through hell together" after the death of their mother, Princess Diana.

The once inseparable heir and spare have, reportedly, not been speaking to each other for months despite their looming reunion in July for a special statue unveiling dedicated to Princess Diana. Sources told Daily Mail that William and Harry haven't picked up the phone to discuss the preparations for this event but there is a steering committee tasked to handle matters for the unveiling.

William was the first senior member of the royal family to make a public comment addressing Harry and Meghan's bombshell interview. The Duke of Cambridge said that his family is "very much not racist," after Meghan alleged that some members of the royal family raised the issue of their son Archie's skin color.

According to body language expert Judi James, William exuded control when he responded to the press unlike their father, Prince Charles, who simply chuckled and walked away when he was asked about Harry and Meghan's interview. James said that William wanted to deliver a clear and firm message to the public, showing his leadership.

The expert noted that his actions and body signals convey control more than anger towards Harry. But she likened this to an older brother intending to speak to a younger sibling who has broken the rules.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe, however, believes that William should not let his emotions towards Harry get the best of him. As the future king, Larcombe said that William should think of the bigger picture and rise above his rift with Harry, especially since he's out of The Firm.

As Harry has chosen a different path for him and Meghan, William and Kate Middleton are still constrained by royal protocols and must act accordingly. Larcombe believes that this should be William's focus now than his brother.
