A serial, and senior, stowaway who has sneaked into dozens of flights has been arrested by authorities.

Police said that they had arrested the woman after she attempted to sneak into another flight at the Chicago O'Hare International Airport.

Authorities said Thursday that 69-year-old Marilyn Hartman attempted to sneak onto a commercial flight before she was arrested. Before she could board the aircraft, her GPS ankle bracelet had gone off, which then alerted her arresting officers.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said that Hartman's ankle bracelet was triggered because she had gone beyond the area where she had been mandated to stay.

Deputies tracked down Hartman using her bracelet after they had received reports that she had escaped the facility where she was placed for electronic monitoring. Deputies manually activated her bracelet in an attempt to track her whereabouts inside the airport.

Hartman had been forced to wear the ankle bracelet after she was caught attempting to stow away on another flight just weeks before. Hartman is currently being detained on a trespassing charge. Authorities plan to pile on a felony escape charge against Hartman for her latest stunt.

Hartman has been arrested 22 times for attempting to sneak onto a commercial flight. She has been repeatedly ordered to stay away from airports by multiple courts.

Her first arrest occurred in 2014 when Hartman managed to board a flight to Hawaii. Hartman was arrested after the owner of the seat she was occupying alerted attendants.

Just three days later, Hartman attempted to board another flight but was stopped by at a security checkpoint. A few days after that she was caught by police attempting to board a flight using a discarded boarding pass.

Two months after her first arrest, Hartman was finally able to board a flight and make it to its destination. She reportedly boarded a flight at the Mineta San Jose International Airport, which had landed at LAX.

In 2018, Hartman sneaked onto a British Airways flight to London. Security officers in London realized that she didn't have a ticket and sent her back to the U.S.

Hartman is currently being held without bail until her next court appearance. According to jail records, Hartman is expected to appear in court later this week.
