Supergirl season 6 will be introducing two new mysterious characters once it premieres next week on The CW. It has been confirmed that Jason Behr and Claude Knowlton will be joining the final installment of the superhero drama in undisclosed roles.
According to a recent report from Deadline, both Behr and Knowlton are set to play mysterious recurring roles in the upcoming Supergirl season 6. While the names of their characters remain unknown right now, the series shared some details on how they're going to impact the titular heroine.
Behr's character is said to be a "reputed Kyroptnian". He is going to rescue Kara (Melissa Benoist) when the situation is no longer in her control. Knowlton's character, on the other hand, is a "polite alien" who agreed to help Kara and her friends due to his troubled past.
Based on their descriptions, the characters of Behr and Knowlton will be essential for Kara in Supergirl season 6. However, they might be introduced a bit later in the final installment as the early run of the series will focus on Lex Luthor's (Jon Cryer) arc.
This particular storyline has been originally planned for the season 5 finale. However, the fifth installment ended earlier than expected and was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, the latest outing kicks off where things left off in the makeshift finale, "Immortal Kombat."
Supergirl season 6 opens with Brainiac (Jesse Rath) fighting for his life. He tried to stop Lex from utilizing the Obsidian platform to brainwash half of the world's population into following his orders. Kara is now determined to take this adversary down, but she knows that she needs others' help.
The recently-released trailer is full of intense and action scenes, as well. Kara battles against Lex and she soon realized that the only way to stop this villain is to sacrifice herself. It also looks like the latter is trying to make his of "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
The title of the premiere is "Rebirth". It will see the titular heroine on a mission to save Brainiac and defeat Lex, who has been a thorn in her side for a long time. Since this is the show's final run, the story might be setting up a threatening battle for Earth.
Supergirl season 6 will premiere on Tuesday, March 30, on The CW.
