WARNING: This article contains some spoilers for NCIS season 18 episode 10. Read at your own risk.

NCIS season 18 episode 11 sees Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) not being involved in taking cases in the field. The special agent was suspended in the previous episode due to his drastic actions. Now, he'll be away from everyone else within the department.

NCIS season 18 episode 11 is the continuation of what transpired in episode 10, titled "Watchdog." Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) informed Gibbs that the latter won't be involved in dealing with certain cases because of his recent actions, in which he assaulted a perpetrator.

In the next episode, titled "Gut Punch," Gibbs is doing things on his own - potentially diverting his attention so he won't be thinking too much of his suspension. In one of the preview photos, the special agent can be seen in his basement seemingly building something.

While he's away from others, Gibbs also spends his time at the diner in NCIS season 18 episode 11. There, he's going to meet the "seasoned investigative journalist" Marcie Warren, plays by Pam Dawber, Gibbs' wife in real-life. The character is set to appear for four episodes.

It's interesting to see how Gibbs and Marcie's dynamics play out in the police procedural. The latter could stay on the special agent's side while he's away from the team for the time being. Other preview photos showed the two characters spending time at a diner.

Elsewhere in NCIS season 18 episode 11, Vance will be assigning Timothy McGee (Sean Murphy), Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama), and Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) on a new task. As punishment for covering Gibbs' actions, they were sent to COVID compliance duty at a foreign affairs summit.

Vance wants the three to learn their lesson, but he might need their skills at some point. McGee, Torres, and Bishop soon discovered that there's a link to another murder case. Carroll's character is going to be conflicted in either punishing them or allowing them to go out in the field.

Meanwhile, there is another hiatus coming after this episode. No new episode has been listed after "Gut Punch," which could mean that the police procedural will be taking another week off. As per CaterMatt, the break has something to do with stretching the current season "for as long as possible."

NCIS season 18 episode 11 is scheduled to air on Tuesday, April 6, on CBS.
