WARNING: This article contains some spoilers for the "Watchdog" episode of NCIS season 18. Read at your own risk.

NCIS season 18 episode 11 sees Timothy McGee (Sean Murray), Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham), and Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) taking on a new task. The three will be facing the consequences of their recent actions and they won't be doing missions out in the field for the time being.

NCIS season 18 episode 11, titled "Gut Punch," picks up where episode 10 left off. In "Watchdog," the team uncovered a secret dogfighting ring, which prompted Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to assault the perpetrator. However, he was arrested because of his actions.

Gibbs told McGee, Bishop, and Torres not to lie about what really happened. But then, the three ended up denying everything to protect their colleague. Harmon's character also avoided charges when evidence surfaced proving the perpetrator's sins.

Still, Gibbs was suspended, while McGee, Bishop, and Torres will be punished in NCIS season 18 episode 11. Instead of going out in the field, Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll) sends the three to virus compliance duty. He wants them to teach a lesson and face the consequences of their actions.

The major problem here is that Vance may need their skills if ever there'll be a new murder case. He's going to be conflicted in punishing them and allowing them to go out in the field to take on a new mission. He will likely find a face in letting them do their job while ensuring they still get punished.

As the synopsis notes, Vance will be assigning McGee, Bishop, and Torres to virus compliance duty at a foreign affairs summit. However, they eventually found out that there's a link to another murder case. This is something they have to deal with even though they know they're being punished.

As for what else is coming in NCIS season 18 episode 11, Gibbs' real-life wife, Pam Dawber, is set to appear as a guest star. She is going to play the character of Marcie Warren, a "seasoned investigative journalist" who uses her "savvy wit."

Only a few details were known about how Warren is going to be involved in the story. Yet, one of the preview photos featured her and Gibbs at a restaurant. It looks like they'll be spending some time together following the latter's suspension from his job.

NCIS season 18 episode 11 airs on Tuesday, April 6, on CBS.
