Tom Hiddleston is reprising his titular role in the upcoming Disney+ series, Loki. Recently, Marvel Studios dropped the official trailer featuring the God of Mischief and teased what lies ahead for him. The character has been a fan favorite ever since he debuted in Thor.

In Loki Disney+ series, Hiddleston will be playing the version of the God of Mischief from an alternate universe. In the trailer, he is working with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to potentially stop a larger threat across the multiverse. Also, a lot of hijinks are still included in the story.

Another highlight of the clip is the banter between the titular character and Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), a member of the TVA. The two will be working together to fix the broken timeline caused by the God of Mischief. However, a trust issue between them may prevent them from completing the mission.

It was also suggested that Hiddleston's character will have multiple variants in the series as the clip hinted that there'll be more than one version of the God of Mischief. The story picks up from a parallel timeline in Avengers: Endgame when an alternate version of the character was created.

In the trailer, the titular character was captured by the TVA for altering the timestream. Then, Mobius M. Mobius asks the former if he could help him fix the problem. What's odd here is that one of his colleagues wonders if they should trust this "variant," hinting that there's more than one in the story.

Since Loki is all about time travel, this may just be a reference to how a person exists in multiple realities. But then, there is a possibility that the God of Mischief comes face-to-face with another version of himself given that he's different from the first Avenger film.

Furthermore, the trailer shows the characters visiting different worlds and timelines -- including the titular character ruling Asgard. Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Ravonna Lexus Rensyaler was also featured more than the first teaser dropped months ago.

Meanwhile, there is speculation that the Loki will feature the presence of Lady Loki. There have been several clues that the character will be part of the story at some point. Perhaps, the show might be setting up a huge showdown between the two versions of God of Mischief.

Loki is set to premiere on Friday, June 11, on Disney+. Marvel Studio produced the series, with Kate Herron serves as director for season 1 while Michael Waldron serves as the head writer.
