Hajime Nagumo will be back with a vengeance in Arifureta Season 2. Despite its controversial Season 1 debut, his story will continue with a much intense turn of events.

Arifureta Season 2 will continue Nagumo's story, along with fun adventures with his group. The anime has now dropped its brand new look with a new visual and trailer.

The preview shows the lead star's new quest with his classmates. However, they will never expect the adventure they are about to take will be closer than they thought.

They will meet a gigantic monster in the middle of their journey, but they have to stop to deal with this colossal enemy. This will reveal a new challenge that they have to take as the story continues. 

The visual, on the other hand, shows Nagumo and Yue getting ready for a new battle-filled season. From a commonplace Otaku to a badass isekai, fans are about to see more of their favorite lead star here. 

According to Epic Dope, Arifureta Season 2 may adapt the fifth volume of Ryo Shirakome and Takayaki's light novel series. The storyline will feature the beginning of Nagumo and his group's journey as they cross the Gruen Desert to go to Erisen.

Here, they will be looking for the stillrock that will help cure the mysterious disease spreading at Erisen. However, they will be meeting an unexpected enemy along the way.

The Cine Talk added there would be additional tasks Nagumo and the gang had to take as they go on these dangerous missions. Fans might also see these guys using creative techniques and strategies to fulfill the tasks that they have to do.

Of course, some sweet moments will be seen featuring Nagumo and Yue to make things light.

Meanwhile, Arifureta Season 2 also announced two new cast members are joining the series, per Anime News Network. Nori Shibasaki will join the show as Liliana S. B. Heiligh as the Princess of Heigligh Kindom and Rina Satou as Noint, the mysterious silver-haired, blue-eyed woman who will confront Nagumo and his people.

It will also have a new director and studio as well. Akira Iwanaga will take the directorial seat at asread, while Shoichi Sato will return to pen the script.

Chika Kojima, in addition, will be the character designer and chief animation director. Most of its original cast members from Season 1, on the other hand, will reprise their roles.

Arifureta Season 2 will be out in January 2022.
