Three members of EXO are currently serving their country's military. Chen, who enlisted last October, however, recently took some time off to celebrate his daughter's first birthday.

Allkpop reported the party took place at The Shilla Seoul, which publications deem as a luxurious hotel. During the event, the K-Pop idol was in hanbok, alongside his wife. They, reportedly, marked their daughter's birthday, along with the rest of their families.

Chen and his wife welcomed their first child last 2020. They tied the knot four months earlier, and have since maintained their privacy as a family.

Apart from the celebration, no other information has been publicized about the EXO member. It, also, remains unclear whether he only took a break from his service for a day.

Chen is the fourth member of the group to join the military. He still has a little over a year to complete his service. Accordingly, his potential discharge date is likely around April of 2022.

The two other idols who are serving, as well, are Suho and Chanyeol. The former will complete his time in the military after 293 days, while the latter has 522 days more. He just enlisted himself a few weeks ago, shortly after the premiere of his film, The Box.

The next EXO member who will take a break from official K-Pop activities is Baekhyun. He previously revealed that his enlistment will happen on his birthday, which is on May 6.

Despite not being complete, the rest of the K-Pop group is set to make a comeback this year. Six of the nine members confirmed the matter on their ninth anniversary earlier this month.

Alongside the confirmation, they, also, released several teaser materials on various social media platforms. These include a YouTube video entitled "L-1485," featuring clips of the behind-the-scenes shoot for their upcoming project.

They have yet to share the exact details of their comeback. But, based on the previously released teasers, their return to the K-Pop scene will include members D.O. and Xiumin, who were previously discharged from the military.

In other related news, EXO member Kai recently revealed some of the things he does in preparation for "comeback promotions." In his recent interview with actor Bae Jung Nam for The Devil Wears Jung Nam Season 2, he said that he tries to gain weight for a "comeback concept."

He continued that he has lived on a "restricted diet for about five years," adding that he stays in the 64-65 kg weight range. But, he gets up to around 68 kg during promotions and engagements for EXO.
