Supergirl season 6 episode 6 is titled "Prom Again" and it's going to be the continuation of episode 5, which was titled "Prom Night." The superhero drama delivered a two-part episode and it was mostly focused on the younger days of Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), as well as Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart).

Now, Supergirl season 6 episode 6 picks up where the fifth episode left off. The story will continue to follow Nia (Nicole Maines) and Brainy (Jesse Rath) spending most of their time in the past to help Kara a.k.a. the titular heroine gets out of the Phantom Zone.

When Nia and Brainy arrived in 2009, they met the younger version of Kara, played by (Izabela Vidovic). But, apart from that, the two also had the chance to meet younger versions of other characters, such as the young Cat Grant (Eliza Helm).

In Supergirl season 6 episode 6, the two will continue with their mission in rescuing Kara from the Phantom Zone. As the synopsis notes, the titular heroine experiences kryptonite for the first time, while Nia and Brainy have been trapped by invading aliens.

At the same time, Cat Grant may have played a huge part in why Kara never gets out of the Phantom Zone. It can be recalled that during her younger years, when she was still called "CJ Grant," she's determined to climb up to the top and make a name for herself.

In order to achieve her dreams, Cat chased a story in Midvale, Kara's hometown. She was one of the major reasons why the titular heroine's life was put in danger in the past. Now, her younger version may have done something that prevents Benoist's character to get out from Phantom Zone for good.

Also, the promo of Supergirl season 6 episode 6 teased some unexpected twists and turns in the story. Since Nia and Brainy were both in danger, the young Kara showed up to save the twp. But then, she may have revealed her true identity to Cat and this could alter the present timeline.

Meanwhile, Benoist has been missing in action through the early run of the sixth installment, largely because she's on maternity leave at the time of the filming. Hence, the series focused more on the origin story of the titular heroine, especially since this is the final one for the series.

Supergirl season 6 episode 6 airs on Tuesday, May 4, on The CW. The episode is directed by Chyler Leigh and written by Jess Kardos and Rob Wright.
