Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne) faces another problem in the upcoming Prodigal Son season 2 episode 11, titled "You Can Run". But, unlike the issues he has dealt with in the past, the problem he needs to handle this time could potentially affect both his personal and professional life.
Prodigal Son season 2 episode 11 picks up the aftermath of episode 10, titled "Exit Strategy." In the previous outing, Claremont faced massive chaos when the patients at the institution found a way to escape. Now, searching for them won't be easy, especially since some of them are very dangerous.
The biggest problem for Malcolm is that the escape plan was orchestrated by his father, Martin Whitly (Michael Sheen). The latter also betrayed Dr. Vivian Capshaw (Catherine Zeta-Jone), a resident medical doctor at Claremont, after putting all her trust in him.
Just like other patients, Martin escaped from the facility and Malcolm needs to figure out where he went. Although his father claimed that he changed, he's still not convinced that he won't do terrible things. In his mind, he believes that this man is a killer and someone he knew when he was still young.
In Prodigal Son season 2 episode 11, Malcolm races against time following the incident at Claremont. His major task is tracking down multiple killers on the loose. The NYPD, on the other hand, realized that someone close to home might be the key in locating them.
It seems like this someone is Malcolm, considering that his father was the one who planned the escape. All eyes are on him, which could be good and bad at the same time. He is determined to find the escapees, but others may doubt his actions due to his ties to Martin.
The major advantage on Malcolm's side is that he knows Claremont than anyone else. This could be a huge help in tracking down the patients in Prodigal Son season 2 episode 11. But then, Dr. Capshaw may also hinder the mission, making it hard for the NYPD to find the escapees' whereabouts.
Meanwhile, the current installment of the crime-procedural drama is nearing its ending, which means more stories will build up in the next few episodes. However, the future of the series is hanging up in the air as of this writing as Fox hasn't officially renewed the show for season 3.
