A new, yet familiar face will be introduced in the upcoming NCIS season 18 episode 15. It has been previously confirmed that Hawaii Five-0 alumna Katrina Law is set to appear in the police procedural drama. Now, the first look at her arrival was unveiled and it seems like her role is going to be significant in the department moving forward.

NCIS season 18 episode 15 marks the debut of Law's character, Jessica Knight. The news about the actress's appearance in the CBS series has been confirmed in March 2021, with reports noting she will have a recurring role in the story. And although there are questions regarding her future, there is a possibility she'll appear in the already-renewed season 19.

Law's Jessica Knight will have an unexpected arrival in NCIS season 18 episode 15, which comes with the title "Blown Away." The character arrives at the department after a tragedy and her skills and knowledge might valuable for the team later on. She may also form a close bond with most of the team members, including Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon).

As the synopsis notes, a massive explosion killed the members of an NCIS Regional Enforcement Action Capabilities Training Team (REACT). The only surviving member is NCIS Special Agent Jessica Knight, who will do whatever she can in order to figure out what happened using high-tech body armor. Perhaps, she's going to ask Gibbs' help, as well as others to crack the case.

At the time of the announcement that Law will join the police procedural, Jessica Knight is described as someone who handles "daily high-risk operations with skill and precision." She specializes in hostage negotiations and she's good at fighting for everything in life. In addition, she is raised by a single mother and she's married to a stay-at-home dad who is raising their infant son.

As for what else is coming in NCIS season 18 episode 15, investigative journalist Marcie Warren (Pam Dawber) is coming back. She has been part of the story over the past few episodes, mostly tied to Gibbs, who's still suspended due to his drastic action while working out in the field. Right now, it's yet to be seen whether or not the Special Agent will rejoin the team.

The good thing is that the future of the police procedural is not hanging up in the air anymore as CBS already renewed the series for season 19. It was also announced that Harmon will continue to reprise his role as the Special Agent, which means more stories are coming for him in the upcoming installment.

NCIS season 18 episode 15 airs on Tuesday, May 18, on CBS.
