Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is still not working with the rest of the team in the upcoming NCIS season 18 episode 13. The special agent was suspended due to his drastic action while on a mission out in the fie and there's no clear indication that he's returning to the department anytime soon.

Gibbs will have a very essential role in NCIS season 18 episode 13; he's going to "testify against a financial advisor who stole millions from his Navy clients." The person who called him in to takes a stand was Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), the person who actually suspended him.

Gibbs goes to the court and will be taking a stand for the Navy veterans. He recognized that they need his help from people who took advantage of them. He'll do whatever he can to protect them and to make sure that the person who took their money pays for his sins.

This storyline is slightly different from what Gibbs has dealt with in the past. He's used to going on missions out in the field, but this time he is needed to the court. Now, his major goal is ensuring that justice is served and helps the Navy clients get what's rightfully theirs.

However, some problems may arise later on and the trial may not go smoothly. In the promo of NCIS season 18 episode 13, Gibbs prepares himself to testify in court but taking a stand for the Navy clients could have some consequences in the process.

Since he goes against a financial advisor, the situation may eventually be tied to the department. Some of the problems within the organization might be exposed and it could jeopardize his career, as well as the entire team. Despite that, he seems certain about his decision to testify.

While there is a possibility that he may not be able to go back to his post, he looks totally fine with the idea of not getting back. Throughout the time he's suspended, Gibbs felt at peace being away from his job. He is living simply and thinks he deserved the punishment because of what he did.

Only four more episodes were left before the police procedural drama wraps up the current installment. For now, it remains to be seen whether or Gibbs is coming back in the department or he'll choose to depart from the team. The stories will unfold as the season finale closes in.

As for what else is coming in NCIS season 18 episode 13, Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) are going on a new mission together again. This time, the two and the rest of the team investigate a biker killed in a hit-and-run.

NCIS season 18 episode 13 is titled "Misconduct" and it is set to air on Tuesday, May 4, on CBS.
