Princess Eugenie dedicated a heartfelt post on her social media account to her "exceptional" husband, Jack Brooksbank, who celebrated his 34th birthday on May 3.

The York royal shared a previously unseen photo of Brooksbank with their nearly three-month-old baby August. It's Brooksbank's first birthday as a father and the photo shows him cradling his first-born son in his arms and he has a huge smile on his face.

Eugenie also shared a photo of her husband of three years as he walked among a sea of flowers in full bloom in the springtime, as taken on the Windsor estate where the Brooksbank pair currently reside. Since the baby's arrival, the couple has been staying at Frogmore Cottage, the former home of her cousin Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as it's also within the grounds of the Royal Lodge, the home of Princess Eugenie's parents, the Duke and Duchess of York.

Two weeks prior to Brooksbank's birthday, Eugenie and her husband had their first outing together as parents but it was for the funeral of Prince Philip. The couple joined the rest of the royal family in a strictly scaled-down ceremony for the queen's husband. The pair were seated next to Eugenie's sister, Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mappelli Mozzi. Like Harry and Prince William, the York princess are very close to their grandparents.

Days before the funeral, Eugenie also dedicated a post to her grandfather, which received nearly a half a million likes from her Instagram followers. The princess said that she will always remember little things about her "grandpa" -- from his laugh and jokes, his favorite beer, and how he taught Eugenie to cook, read and paint. Incidentally, Eugenie and Brooksbank honored the Duke of Edinburgh by giving their son the middle name Philip, after the late royal.

Meanwhile, royal sources disclosed that Eugenie has become the lone member of the royal family who is still regularly in touch with Harry. According to the Evening Standard, Eugenie's closeness to her cousin is not just because she and her husband have been living in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's house since Harry and Meghan are now living in California.

Princess Eugenie actually treats Harry as her best friend and is regarded as the peacekeeper amid Harry's rift with his other relatives. The princess is also close to Meghan and was friends with her first before Harry even met his future wife. It's unclear, however, if the Brooksbank couple is paying rent for staying at Harry and Meghan's Frogmore home.
