Call the Midwife season 10 episode 4 will be featuring a huge event and it's going to have a different impact on some characters. Aside from following the midwives and nuns at Nonnatus House, the period drama also brings some stories happening outside the facility.

Ever since the current installment premiered, the story focused on most of the characters trying to find a way to save the Nonnatus House from being demolished. Now, Call the Midwife season 10 episode 4 is delivering something different, which may come with some fun moments.

As per the synopsis of Call the Midwife season 10 episode 4, the 1966 World Cup is coming and some will be involved in the event. Everyone is excited about the festivity as Britain is in the grip of World Cup fever. But then, that doesn't mean the day won't put some characters in trouble.

In fact, Fred (Cliff Parisi) may have done something that he'll probably regret later on. His problem started when he decided to put an accumulator bet for the World Cup, keeping any winnings rolling forward. Also, Violet (Annabelle Apsion) isn't aware that he did something like this.

Eventually, Fred began to question whether he made the right decision when England reached the final against West Germany. This could lead to some troubles with his relationship with Violet, especially since she didn't know about the bet he made.

Elsewhere in Call the Midwife season 10 episode 4, four new pupil midwives arrived in Nonnatus House. All of them have different personalities, but Nancy Corrigan (Megan Cusack), has made quite an impression. She came from Ireland and will learn more from the rest of the midwives in the facility.

Nancy is said to be a "bit ditzy, erratic, and not great with her studies." What makes her different from other new pupils is that her words don't often make people feel good. She also makes those around her nervous with how she talks.

Nancy may clash with other midwives and nuns at Nonnatus House. Her presence could make some uncomfortable, though it would be interesting to see how she'll interact with everyone. There could a lot of chaos coming for all of them.

Meanwhile, this week's episode will also feature more of Cyrill (Zephryn Taitte) and Lucille (Leonie Elliot) as their relationship continues to blossom. The two are getting closer as days go by, but they may encounter problems along the way.

Call the Midwife season 10 episode 4 airs on Sunday, May 9, on BBC One.
