Call the Midwife season 10 episode 2 brings more emotional moments for the nuns and midwives at Nonnatus House. One of the major arcs seen in the premiere revolved around Nurse Trixie (Helen George's) and her storyline will further continue in this week's episode.

Call the Midwife season 10 episode 2 picks up what transpired in episode 1, with Sister Julienne (Jenny Agutter) coming up with a plan to save the Nonnatus House. She thought that working with a London-based private clinic Lady Emily could help them save the facility from being demolished.

Sister Julienne suggested that they should provide Lady Emily with midwives in return for money. They sent Nurse Trixie to work at the clinic in a span of six weeks, but it looks like her stay won't be entirely smooth sailing as conflicts arise between her and her new colleagues.

In the promo of Call the Midwife season 10 episode 2, Nurse Trixie can be seen shouting at someone which is a clear indication that her current situation isn't as good as when she's at the Nonnatus House. As the synopsis also notes, she is troubled when her newfound friend was admitted to Lady Emily.

Elsewhere in Call the Midwife season 10 episode 2, the trial of the Moors Murders sends a chill to the people in Poplar. Sister Frances (Ella Bruccoleri) thinks she needs to be worldlier if she wants to understand her patients, particularly a mother who plans to give up her baby for adoption after having an affair.

Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) distracts her private thoughts by assisting Sister Frances. Cyril (Zephryn Taitte), on the other hand, decided to help a family in need of shelter after being evicted from their home. This prompted Fred (Cliff Parisi) to donate food supplies, which annoyer Violet (Annabelle Apsion).

Meanwhile, Jennifer Kirby's character of Valerie Dyer hasn't appeared in the premiere of the current installment. She chose to depart in season 9, and there is no guarantee that she is coming back in the story anytime soon.

Call the Midwife season 10 episode 2 airs on Sunday, April 21, on BBC One. The good news is that this won't be the final installment of the series, as the period drama has been renewed for two more seasons, with season 11 filming about to begin in the coming months.
