Station 19 season 4 episode 14 won't be airing this week on ABC. Instead, the firefighter drama is returning next week and will continue to follow the lives of the characters. Titled "Comfortably Numb," the series brings a story about Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) and Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato).
In fact, the promo of Station 19 season 4 episode 14 hinted at the potential problems of Maya and Carina in their relationship. The two love each other, but the former made it clear that they should "take a break" for the time being.
Maya tried to say this in a nice way, but Carina clearly disagrees with the idea as she looks angry and walks out of the door. Right now, it is unknown what has led Savre's character to decide about their break up, though there could be a deeper reason why she said those words.
However, there is a serious concern when it comes to their relationship in Station 19 season 4 episode 14. Although they have been through a lot and faced struggles together, that does not mean that they won't give up on each other at some point.
Some of the recent events around them may have prompted Maya to come up with that decision. Carina may not immediately understand the reason and she's going to be upset in the beginning. But, eventually, they could find a way to settle things between them.
In addition, the two have been dealing with their own issues as of late. For instance, Maya is trying to find ways on how to cope with the issues of her past. Carina, on the other hand, is still mourning the sudden death of her brother, Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti).
Elsewhere in Station 19 season 4 episode 14, Ben Warren (Jason George) is finally addressing his current condition, something he does not want to deal with earlier. He's suffering from a serious tumor and he needs to undergo chemotherapy to get better.
Now, he made up his mind to go on chemotherapy. However, there could be some long-term repercussions since he delayed the treatment process. As for Jack (Grey Damon) and Inara (Colleen Foy), the two get even close. At the same time, they'll lend a hand to their neighbor in need of help.
